Jordan has finally presented us with her two bottom teeth. She has been showing signs of teething since she was three months old, but every time I would check I would just see that big, gummy smile. Finally at seven months we have a breakthrough. They just appeared! She is taking full advantage of her new teeth by trying to eat anything and everything. Slow down Jordan...don't grow up too fast.

We Have Teeth
Jordan has finally presented us with her two bottom teeth. She has been showing signs of teething since she was three months old, but every time I would check I would just see that big, gummy smile. Newport Harbor Yacht Club
We took the kids to go meet the Pittmans at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club for lunch and swimming. I love being there because even though it is the beach there are no waves so Jackson can actually swim in the water. We stayed there late into the afternoon catching up, fishing for guppies, boogie boarding, and building sand castles.

Family Day at the Fair
My sister and her family came down so we could go to the fair. We were all excited because there was plenty more yummy food we didn't get around to eating the first time we went. My nephews were so sweet with Jackson and took him on all the rides. He loved it! This kid has no fear. I even went on a "thrilling" fair ride which I haven't done in at least 5 years. Dylan rode with me and we had a blast.
Newport Beach
The weather here has taken some getting used to again after living in Vegas for the past 4 years. I always forget that summer mornings are cold and overcast and the evenings definitely require a sweatshirt. Well, with that said I am still determined to get us to the beach as much as possible and without freezing. When we went last week the sun finally came out around two. The kids mostly played in the sand but Jackson did brave it up and ran in the waves.

Tidepools
One of the memories I have from being in a kid is going to the tide pools. They used to be full of sea life and I loved climbing on the rocks. This was the first time we took Jackson to experience them. The weather was a little chilly but I wanted us to wear pants anyway to save our legs in case we fell. I took Jackson out first and we found lots of crabs, a few fish, and his favorite...the little hermit crabs. He liked putting them on his hand and waiting for them to crawl around.
There was a huge (dead) sea hare on the rocks that we got to look at. I took a picture to show my class for next years ocean unit, but it was neat.
After climbing through the tide pools Jackson was ready to hit the waves. No time to change, he was ready to run in. Oh well, we had a great time so it was worth getting soaking wet.
Grandma braved it up and took Jackson in the waves too.
