Tummy Time and Rolling Over

Jordan loves to be on her tummy where she feels she can watch Jackson and grab anything on the ground in front of her. She has been scooting around for awhile now and finally rolled over last weekend. She fell asleep while playing on the floor and when she woke up, she just flipped herself right over.

Carrots!

I can never take pictures while Jordan is eating because I always have her sweet brother helping me (shoving the spoon down her throat). Here is one I was able to get. All the yellows have been a hit so far...I will be making all the greens this weekend.

Shark Reef

I am always reminded when June rolls around that Jerome hates Vegas and that is because he can't stand the heat. We have been getting really good at finding indoor activities to do with the kids on the weekends that get us out of the house. Jackson is still very into animals so we too him back to the Shark Reef. He becomes more and more aware every time we go and was fascinated with the touch pools this time. He loudly told everyone when a "SHARK" was coming near him. I had to stay close by or I am sure he would have been in the water with them.

Good thing Jordan doesn't mind the stroller each time we go somewhere!

Baby Food Making 101

Tonight my kitchen looks like a disaster as I have just finished making Jordan's baby food. I have put off feeding her solid foods long enough (due to her spitting habits) and have made enough food to hopefully last a month or two. I loved making Jackson's food and knew I would continue to make it with Jordan. As I have ice cube trays full of carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, applesauce, and pears...I feel accomplished and excited for my sweet little girl to try her first taste of flavor. Pictures to follow...

Giddy-Up Cowboy

We just got home from the cutest birthday party for Jackson's little friend Aaden. Even though it was 108 degrees in Vegas today, the party was a huge hit. Jackson and Jordan had matching outfits and looked ready to party. When we arrived there were pony rides in the front yard and a big bounce house. Jackson couldn't decide what to do first. I am terrified of horses so I ruined all the pictures with my panicked face, but there were a couple good ones. Jordan loved all the people and enjoyed the attention. After we ate some good ole barbecue and went in the petting zoo (yep...they had everything), Jackson was getting a little overheated and tired. We sang happy birthday to Aaden and headed home. I am definitely keeping this party in mind for when Jackson gets older. It was so much fun!

The Greatest Hand-Me-Down

My sister saves everything! She is always giving me something that my nephews had and it always ends up being my kids favorite things. First all the Thomas trains and now the swing. Jordan has a swing upstairs that I try to put her in but she wants to be in the one from my sister. It has been through four kids now and is still going strong. Jordan loves sitting straight up in and watching Jackson's every move. She is so cute trying to play with the two toys attached and she spits her Binky out on purpose so Jackson can "gently" put it back in her mouth.

Swimming on the Strip

Fala and D came into town for the week so we of course spent almost all the free time we had up on the strip with them. Fala had a bunch of free rooms (due to her gambling addiction) so we tried out a few pools on the strip. When Aunt Yvonne flew in for the weekend, it added some more fun to the party and she went all out to order us a cabana at the Rio. What a way to spend the day!

Both kids loved the pools and the food...plus they both took long naps because they were cool and shaded from the sun. It was a great weekend and D invited all of us to go to dinner on Monday night because he had an important "question" to ask Fala. Yep, they were engaged! I felt so honored to be there and am truly happy for them. Let the wedding planning begin!

Memorial Day BBQ

Amber's future in-laws/Sue's aunt and uncle invited us over on Sunday for a BBQ and swimming. It was a perfect weekend for this as the temps were getting close to triple digits. Jackson was ready to jump in as soon as he saw the pool and even Jordan got to try out her new bikini. We had the best time and enjoyed the great food and friends. Missy brought Chip, of course the newly engaged couple Amber and Tim, the four of us, and Sue. Thanks Sadie and Bryan for having us over!
